Watch him move to the window and feel the frustration build inside.
Burning…blinding….
Jealousy.
Move behind him, looking over his shoulder to the driver’s lot, and see them.
Couples.
Walking hand in hand.
Pairs, married and not, easily touching and kissing where the world can see.
Something we can never do.
It holds him back. He’s afraid to cross over into unknown and unconventional territory. To walk with me where no one else can see.
“What am I doing?”
His question, so simple and complex at the same time.
Slide my arm around his waist.
And he leans against me.
