Daytona: June 29th, 2006

There’s a cold chill inside me.

An emptiness that’s grown daily since I left Richmond and not even the Daytona heat can warm me.

Only he can.

I finally know that now.

Weeks of lonely flights.  Too much time alone.  I thought I’d get over him.  I didn’t think I was ready to let someone in.

Turns out he was already there.

Now my idiotic insecurity may have cost me everything.

What if it’s too late?  What if he’s forgotten me?  What if he doesn’t still…want me?

I don’t even know what to say.

But I have to try.
