Phoenix: April 22nd, 2006

Unbelievable.

Two races.  Two wins.  My first weekend sweep.

And only one person I want to share it with.

Head straight for his coach, hoping he’s still here.

Half a case of Bud and an hour of video games later, we know we should head out.  But somehow….

I end up staring into his deep blue eyes.

Eyes I suddenly realize I’ve seen in my dreams.

Everything moves fast and slow and he’s much too close…or not close enough?  He leans closer in silent question.  Is that my voice answering so soft?

“Yes…”

And his lips touch mine.

Don’t stop.
