AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is part of my series of drabbles for 26_drabbles and is set immediately after Farewell. This story takes place in Watkins Glen, after Kevin won the Cup race.

It should’ve been hard. Life changing usually is.
This was as easy as breathing.
Blue eyes, my world, erase the past with one look. In his eyes is eternity. My eternity.
“Kevin…. Are you sure?”
Lingering doubt swims in his eyes. Fear that tears my heart apart. But I’ll chase it away with one sweet word.
“Yes.”
Clouds part, sun breaks through, and I’m bathed in the pure, perfect light of his smile. No shadows. No more doubt. Just a world that begins and ends with his kiss.
“Yes, Dale.”
I can’t say it enough. I’ll say it forever.
“Yes.”
