During the California Auto Club 500 - Fontana, CA - February 22nd, 2009

I am not happy.

I don’t belong on this stupid…box that doesn’t look like a box.  It’s more of a giant cart and I shouldn’t be here.  I should be in Big Yellow with Green Eyes.  I belong with Green Eyes.  That’s why I was on his helmet waiting for him to come join us.  But instead I’m here, dumped on top of this “box,” lucky not to be stepped on.  At least I know what Imaginary Todd does now.

“Alright, bring’er in, Kev.  Four tires and air pressure.”

“On the wall guys.  Let’s go.”

Here we go again.  Cars everywhere on the little flat road.  There’s Poppa Ella!Bear in Black Fire and Green Eyes in Big Yellow.  Yay, he’s not in back with Cowboy in the Happy Hand anymore.  He must be dragging good now.  Big Yellow stops and now I know why we went up and down before.  Big Yellow needs new shoes to go fast.

“Go, go, go, go.  There you go.  Good job guys.”

Yay, Green Eyes is closer to the front.  Those better be good shoes Imaginary Todd.  Big Yellow needs to go fast.  He’s not in front yet.  We need to…no.  No, we don’t need to do anything.  Not since I got abandoned.  Stupid yellow guy putting me up here.  I don’t care if he carries the front shoes he’s MEAN.  I’m supposed to be with Green Eyes.  He needs me.  Unless…he doesn’t want me anymore….

But we’re a team.  He has to want me.  He has to.  I don’t wanna be the throw away bear.  Not yet!  Maybe I can go see Ella!Bear again.  Anything as long as I don’t end up in a draw--

Hey!  No kicking the bear!  Open your eyes dumbass.  I’m down here.  C’mon Imaginary Todd, make them be nice.  You know Green Eyes needs me.  He told you.

“It’s was a pound in the right rear.  Ok, ok we’ll fix it on the next stop.”

“Doesn’t look like that worked out too well.”

“We went too far with it.  Let’s just hope Kev can hold on to it a little longer.”

Imaginary Todd!  What did you do!!!  Big Yellow is going slower.  Drag, Green Eyes, drag!  You know what to do.  C’mon, go faster.  Black Fire is getting away.  Goooooooooooooo.  This is wrong.  Green Eyes and Big Yellow need help.  They need to come down the flat road.  They need to….

GREEN EYES, LOOK OUT!!!!!

“He’s in the wall.  He’s in the wall.  Was it a right front?”

“He says it blew up.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah, take ‘er to the garage boys.  We’re done.”

Done?  What?  No!  Green Eyes, don’t leave Big Yellow like that.  He’s all broken.  You can’t leave him all broken.  It’s not right.  Green Eyes are you ok?  Where is everyone going?  What are you doing?  PLEASE DON’T LEAVE ME HERE!

“We gotta move.  We’re done.”

Hey, somebody!  Take me with you.  Blonde Bitchy One, you know me.  Take me with you!  Where are you going?  Yellow guys, stop.  You don’t need the shoes now.  Big Yellow can’t use them.  Please, don’t FORGET ME!

“Hey Todd, should we--”

“Damn right.  You heard, Kev.  Next person who takes him off the car is outta here.”

“Guess it really is a good luck charm.”

Thank you, Imaginary Todd, thank you.  I knew Green Eyes wouldn’t abandon me!  Are we going to see him now?  Is he ok?  Can you fix Big Yellow?  You really need to learn to speak bear.  Hurry up.  I need to see if Green Eyes is ok.  He might need bear snuggles and this bear is ready.  I’ll take care of him, you take care of Big Yellow.  Deal?  Ok.
