The End: Set in Motion

Summary: Here it is, the final story in my nearly four year long series. I've been writing it for a month now and I've quite a bit done and a good idea of how I want it to go. Unlike my usual style of just writing off the top of my head, I've actually worked to make this story make sense and be, I hope, entertaining. There's smut, BDSM, non-consensual sex, angst, evilness, pain and suffering ahead. Will it have a happy ending? *evil grin*

RATING: PG-14
PAIRINGS: Buffy/Angelus, Willow/Spike, Cordelia/Xander
DISCLAIMER: I don't own Buffy the Vampire Slayer or any of the characters on the show. Joss Whedon and the WB Network own them (for now). No copyright infringement intended, so please don't sue.
DEDICATION: Dedicated to everyone who's ever sent feedback on the series (and I owe lots of people responses *sigh*). I'm always surprised to find that this is my most popular series and I'm thrilled people enjoy it. And to the Hos and Wos and Wench, none of whom will probably read this, but who have kept me sane and laughing for two years now.

Legend tells of a necklace, a pentacle, its center an emerald older than the race of men. Carved on its back in a language long dead are the words of doom. It is an amulet of great power for destruction. In a time of anniversary, under a full moon, the necklace shall be found and the end set in motion. But, if the five become one, all may not be lost.

~~~~~
In the darkness the Master of Sunnydale brooded. While his childer slept and his lover walked in the sunshine, he made his final decision and set his plan in motion.
He saw no other choice...
...though his heart ached at what, in the end, must be...
