Post-Losing It

Willow came downstairs and walked into the kitchen. Putting on a pot of coffee she wouldn't drink, but everyone else would, she checked her ingredients and pulled the items together in a basket. The same basket she'd been carrying to the living room every morning for six months.

She sighed. What she wouldn't do for her best friend.

"Oh, for heaven's sake."

"Sorry, luv. Didn't mean to wake you."

Buffy rolled over as Spike pulled a tee-shirt over his head. "You know, a little research and you might get to sleep in sometime."

"A commitment's a commitment."

"But still..."

Looking up, the vampire raised an eyebrow. "We're getting' good at it. Got it down to twelve and a half minutes these days."

"Is that good?"

Spike nodded. "Used to take the better part of an hour. So I'd say we're getting' there. I figure soon she can just come up and do it while I'm asleep. Barely notice the excruciating pain anymore."

"Well, hurry back. Need my cuddle."

"And that's all you get," he mumbled as he walked into the hall. "One resouling a day's enough."
