He's wearing me down.
Bit by bit.
Piece by piece.

It's how he is always available,
How I always know exactly where to find him.
His constancy.
That's doing it.

Every time Dawn in is trouble,
And he helps,
No matter what has gone on between us.
He wears me down a little.

Every time he takes my abuse,
And doesn't fight back.
A little more.

Every time he stands up to me.
Just a little bit more.

Every time he touches me,
Gives me what I need,
Even though I treat him badly.
A little more.

Before long, there will be no resistance left.
And that is not good.
So, I try to make him leave.
I push him away.
I punish him.
I scare him.

But he stays.
He doesn't leave.

He's wearing me down.
